Why Would We Suddenly Trust The Government Now?

I’m in my mid 50’s and for all of my adult life, liberals, moderates, and conservatives, have all mistrusted the Federal Government. It has always been common public knowledge that there was rampant corruption in the Government. All Americans have complained about Government waste, fraud, and corruption.
So why do large numbers of Americans now trust the Government to take over almost all aspects of our lives? Just because we have a new President? Really? Yes, we have a new Administration, but all of the rest, Congress and all of the massive Government Bureaucracies, are still run by all the same people.
Do we believe that Obama has a magic wand and magically changed all these peoples behavior? I haven’t seen any evidence that Obama has addressed any of the corruption or waste in Congress or any of these Bureaucracies. In fact, every day we find out about even more corruption in Government, not less.
So none of this makes any sense whatsoever to me. I do not understand how any American, let alone a large number, can possibly believe we can trust the Government to be efficient and effective at running Health Care, or any thing else. Wake up people!
I think it’s possible that those Americans who now trust the Government are blinded by Obama’s Rock Star status. And that is a recipe for disaster. They are being naive, to put it kindly. And they are going to make the biggest mistake Americans have ever made.
Wake up America! If we continue down this path Americans of all political persuasion are going to be raped, pillaged and plundered. And our children’s future is at stake here.
So why do we now trust the Government? I have no idea but it’s the stupidest thing I have seen in my life.
